I got this to use on my chin break outs. It does seem to my acne out and they are gone within a few days, but I don't think it is preventing breakouts. I use it on acne spots daily, because it definitely dries out skin so I don't want my whole face to peel. I moisturize often on areas where I use just to prevent the dry skin. I'd give it a 5 if it helped prevent.
